The Fastest Way to Grow Your Twitter Following

Getting to your first 1000 followers on Twitter is HARD. It’s much harder than going from 1k to 2k and 5k to 10k.

It can be a thread, a blog post, a link to a video, etc. This should be better than anything out there that someone can find by just partaking in a Google search.

Here’s how you should optimize your Twitter bio to pique interest and get people to keep scrolling on your feed to learn more about you.

Only put in there what will excite your IDEAL audience! Don’t be afraid to put something in there that will repel anyone but your ideal audience.

SIDE NOTE: You image in your banner and profile picture will ALWAYS perform better than your logo. Humans want to connect with other humans… not businesses.

And not just any twitter spaces… Skip the mass shill spaces & go for the spaces that are talking about what you care about & that align with your values.

So what do you say once you get up to chat?

Genuinely connect! Ask questions about what the speakers are discussing, express your appreciation for them holding space, & introduce yourself.

In your intro explain who you are, your purpose, your goals, and who you help.

PRO TIP: shout out your pinned tweet! The one with all the value! If allowed, you can even pin that in the Twitter space.

Don’t get up and just start shilling (Selling) your project and services. Lead with your story, your purpose, and your free value!

Take note of what other people are asking for help with and what they are saying… If you genuinely resonate or can help them, DM them after to let them know and connect with them.

Adding CTAs to your tweets always help engagement too.

Follow those who truly inspire you & engage with them consistently. DM (direct message) people who follow you to say how excited you are to connect (NO SKETCH BIZ OR SELLING HERE — BE GENUINE!) Lastly, take the time to engage with your current followers!

The first 1k followers are the hardest to get, but if you are consistent with the quality engagement and posts you partake in, you will be rewarded.
