Simple should be easier

Some people seem to thrive on complexity and making things confusing but most people agree that simpler is better. I see lots of talk about simplifying, minimalism, essentialism and Occam’s Razor.

Yeah, but, I mean, how do you know what is necessary? Oversimplifying things is arguably just as harmful (maybe more so) than making them too complex. How do you find the sweet spot of simplicity? Not everyone agrees on how simple is too simple in any given circumstance.

Keeping it simple often isn’t.
